We will be celebrating Dr. Seuss's birthday and Read Across America on Feb. 27th from 1-4PM.
There will be games, prizes, refreshments and
lots of reading fun. We will have guest readers, games, crafts, refreshments and giveaways. Most of the activities will be geared towards children but we
encourage parents, older siblings, and other family members to join us
as well. Feel free to dress up either as a Seuss character, or in a "Wacky Wednesday" Fashion (mismatched socks and generally odd attire).
Read Across America Poem
You're never too old, too wacky, too wild,
To pick up a book and read with a child.
You're never too busy, too cool, or too hot,
To pick up a book and share what you've got.
In schools and communities,
Let's gather around,
Let's pick up a book,
Let's pass it around.
There are kids all around you,
Kids who will need
Someone to hug,
Someone to read.
Come join us March 2nd
Your own special way
And make this America's
Read to Kids Day.
Our favorite new releases.
A pregnancy pact between three teenaged girls puts their mothers' love to the ultimate test in this explosive new novel from Delinsky, a first-rate storyteller who creates characters as familiar as your neighbors ("Boston Globe")
Richly researched and utterly captivating, "The Lady
in the Tower" presents the full array of evidence of Anne Boleyn's
guilt--or innocence. Only in Weir's capable hands can readers learn the
truth about the fate of one of the most influential and important women
in English history.
Ann Brooks's limits are tested by a crisis no one could prevent. Now, as her neighborhood descends into panic, she must make tough choices to protect everyone she loves from a threat she cannot even see.
Kinney's "New York Times"-bestselling Wimpy Kid series returns with Book 4, which finds the sarcastic and sharp-witted ("Toronto Globe and Mail") Greg on summer vacation with his family.
Gift Certificates: Another great way to support your local independent bookstore! Gift Certificates are
